What is it?
A Listserv is a program that automatically redistributes e-mail to names on a mailing list. Users can subscribe, unsubscribe, and send messages to everyone on the list by sending notes to a specific email address. This is a free service donated to the Council (ad free) by Peter J. Weyland owner of LookNet LLC in Mason Neck.
The list is restricted to members of the Mount Vernon council and Fairfax County officials, and the email address of list members are private. The list is moderated and inappropriate messages are intercepted and removed.
